Suvarnabhumi Airport Opens 1,010 Rai of Land for Investment

The Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) has issued a land investment invitation, inviting investors and entrepreneurs from all sectors to participate in the development of 46 commercial land plots surrounding its six major airports.
The total area of the launched plots exceeds 2,512 rai, with an estimated project development value of up to 28.8 billion Thai baht, representing significant business opportunities.
As Thailand's aviation hub, Suvarnabhumi Airport stands out with its surrounding potential land plots, totaling over 1,010 rai—accounting for 40% of AOT's total land offering in this initiative.
Among them, a flexible combination of 548 rai of leasehold land and 462 rai of freehold land is available. The plots are suitable for diverse development forms, including high-end medical and wellness complexes, international convention and exhibition centers, star-rated hotel clusters, smart logistics parks, and agricultural product distribution and management centers.


 

 

 The following are 11 high-potential commercial development land plots around Suvarnabhumi Airport:

  1. "Airport Business" Plots (Leasehold):
    • 4 plots in total, spanning 548 rai, located within the airport premises, close to the public transportation hub, adjacent to Suvarnabhumi Roads 4 and 2, and only a 9-minute drive from the terminal building. Includes Plots A2, B, C, and D.
  2. "Airport Services and Support Center" Plots (Freehold):
    • 7 plots in total, covering 462 rai, with roads and overpasses connecting to the airport, accessible via Ladkrabang-Wat Sri Waree Noi Road, and just a 15-minute drive from the terminal building.
The land lease prices for AOT’s six airports start from 4 THB per square wa per month, up to 240 THB. For freehold plots at Suvarnabhumi Airport, the rent starts from 28 THB per square wa per month, with a maximum lease term of 30 years. The flexible business models include necessary infrastructure to support private sector investments.


 

AOT believes that from a long-term development perspective, Suvarnabhumi Airport will not only serve as Thailand’s gateway but also has significant potential to become a new economic center attracting investment and promoting prosperity in surrounding areas. By maximizing commercial development on vacant land, AOT aims to create sustainable revenue for both the organization and the country while driving the growth of high-quality tourism and service-related businesses.


 

AOT estimates that the development projects around the six airports nationwide will attract over 28.8 billion THB in total investment and create extensive employment and career opportunities for local residents.


 

Note: "Rai" (1 rai ≈ 1,600 m²) and "wa" (1 wa = 4 m²) are retained as original Thai land measurement units for accuracy.
